Residential Moving
WOW!Residential moving is the heart of what Accessible Moving does. We move whole homes around Massillon and across Ohio, room by room, with our own uniformed crew and our own trucks. We are licensed, bonded, and insured, so the company on your contract is the company doing the lifting. There is no broker in the middle and no carrier we hand you off to.
Find out why Stark County folks go with Stark County movers when it’s time for a flat-rate move.
A whole-home move covers everything from the bedrooms down to the basement. The crew pads and wraps furniture, protects floors and doorframes, loads by room so the truck stays organized, and unloads each box to the room it belongs in rather than stacking everything in the garage. We take apart bed frames, sectional sofas, and table legs that need to come off, then reassemble them at the new house.
Room by room, top to bottom
We work the house in a planned order. Bedrooms and the living room first, kitchen packed and padded carefully, then the basement, which in a lot of older Massillon homes means a tight wooden staircase and a low clearance at the bottom. The lead labels by room so the unload is fast and you are not opening twelve boxes to find the coffee maker. Farm properties and homes with outbuildings get a walkthrough of every structure so nothing in the back barn gets missed.
For pricing, a one-bedroom starts from $329 flat, a two-bedroom runs around $549, a three-bedroom near $799, and a four-bedroom or larger from about $1,179. If your home doesn’t fit a tidy box, we’ll quote hourly at $119/hr for a two-mover crew with a two-hour minimum. A $89 deposit holds the date.
What we leave to others
Standard residential service does not include packing your boxes unless you add our packing service. We don’t disconnect or reconnect gas, water, or hardwired appliances, and we don’t move hazardous materials like propane, fuel, or chemicals. Hot tubs, safes over a few hundred pounds, and pianos are specialty items quoted separately so the crew brings the right gear.

Q: Will you move things out of my basement and attic?
A: Yes, basements and attics are part of a whole-home move. A lot of older Massillon houses have steep, narrow basement stairs and a low beam at the bottom, and our crew is used to working those safely. If access is unusually tight, we mention it at the walkthrough so the quote reflects the extra time and nobody is surprised.
Q: Do I have to be there the whole time?
A: It helps to have you or someone you trust on site at both ends to point out what goes and where it lands at the new house. You don't have to lift anything. Once the load is done you confirm the truck is empty, and at the destination you tell the crew which room each labeled box belongs in.
Q: What if my home is bigger than a four-bedroom?
A: We quote larger homes and farm properties individually after a walkthrough rather than forcing them into the standard tiers. The four-bedroom-plus flat rate from about $1,179 is a starting point. For a sprawling property with outbuildings, we'll count the contents and give you one written number before you commit.
