Local Moving in Massillon & Stark County

WOW!

Accessible Moving handles local moves across Massillon and the rest of Stark County, run by our own W-2 crew on our own trucks. We are a licensed, bonded, and insured Ohio mover, registered with the PUCO and operating under our USDOT and MC numbers. No subcontracting, no broker handoff. You book us, our uniformed movers show up, and the same people you hired do the work from start to finish.

Find out why Stark County folks go with movers in Massillon when it’s time for a flat-rate move.

A local job covers loading, careful transport, and unloading, with a truck stocked with moving blankets, dollies, hand trucks, and basic straps. We disassemble bed frames and table legs that need to come apart and put them back together at the new place. For most homes in town that means furniture pads on the hardwood, doorways protected, and tight 1900s brick walk-ups near Lincoln Way handled without scuffing the trim.

How move day runs

We give you an arrival window the day before and call when the truck is rolling. On site, the lead does a quick walkthrough so everyone agrees on what goes and what stays. The crew pads and wraps the larger pieces first, then loads boxes by room. We drive to the new address, unload to the rooms you point out, reassemble what we took apart, and do a final sweep so nothing gets left on the truck.

Pricing is straightforward. Local hourly is $119/hr for a two-mover crew with the truck, blankets, and dollies included, billed in a two-hour minimum. If you prefer one number with no clock, we quote a flat rate: studios and one-bedrooms from $329, a typical two-bedroom around $549, a three-bedroom near $799, and four-bedroom homes from about $1,179. A $89 deposit holds your date and comes off the final bill.

What we don’t do

A standard local move does not include packing your boxes; that is our separate full packing service. We don’t move propane tanks, paint, ammunition, or other hazardous items, and we don’t disconnect gas appliances or hardwired fixtures. Stairs and heavy walk-up access are fine, but a crawl-through attic or a piano counts as specialty work and gets quoted on its own.

❓ COMMON QUESTIONS ❓

Q: Do you charge for drive time between my old and new place?

A: For hourly jobs in and around Massillon, the clock covers the move including the short drive between addresses, not travel to and from our yard. On a flat-rate move there is no clock at all; the price you sign is the price you pay. We tell you which way works out cheaper for your situation before you book.

Q: Can you move me during winter when there's snow and ice?

A: Yes. We do plenty of January and February moves in Stark County. The crew salts or shovels a path at both doors, lays down floor runners so melting snow doesn't damage your floors, and wraps upholstered pieces to keep road salt and damp off them. We watch the forecast and call you early if a storm forces us to shift the window.

Q: How far ahead should I book a local move?

A: A week or two is comfortable, and the last weekend of the month fills up fastest because that is when most leases turn over. A $89 deposit locks your date and time slot. If something changes, give us reasonable notice and we will move the date without losing the deposit.
