Loading & Unloading Help

WOW!

If you’ve already rented the truck or container and just need strong, careful hands, Accessible Moving offers labor-only loading and unloading. You provide the vehicle; we provide the licensed, insured crew and the muscle. It’s a budget-friendly option for folks who are comfortable driving but don’t want to lift a couch up a ramp alone.

Find out why Stark County folks go with Accessible Moving when it’s time for a flat-rate move.

The service covers loading your rental truck, trailer, or portable container, or unloading one at the other end, with the crew stacking and securing the load so it travels well. We pad-wrap furniture you’ve set out, use your blankets or bring ours, and work the heavy and awkward pieces you can’t manage solo.

The scope, and where it stops

Here’s exactly what labor-only includes and what it doesn’t, so there are no surprises. We will load or unload a vehicle you supply, carry items from the curb or driveway, navigate stairs and walk-ups, and pack the truck tight so your belongings don’t shift on the road. We can disassemble and reassemble basic furniture while we’re at it. What we don’t do on a labor-only job is provide the truck, drive your rental, or take responsibility for a load we didn’t transport, since once it leaves with you, it’s out of our hands.

Because there’s no truck of ours involved, this is billed on our hourly rate: $119/hr for a two-mover crew with a two-hour minimum. That includes the dollies and straps the crew brings. A bigger job or a heavy walk-up may run longer, and we’ll give you an honest time estimate before we start. A $89 deposit holds your slot.

Limits worth knowing

Labor-only carries the released $0.60-per-pound coverage while our crew is handling items; full-value protection applies on full-service moves where we transport. We don’t load hazardous materials, and we won’t overload a vehicle past what’s safe. If your rental shows up too small for your belongings, we’ll tell you rather than force it.

❓ COMMON QUESTIONS ❓

Q: Do you provide the truck for a labor-only job?

A: No. Labor-only means you supply the truck, trailer, or container and we supply the crew and equipment to load or unload it. If you'd rather we handle the vehicle too, that's a full-service move on our flat-rate or hourly scheme. Plenty of people rent their own truck to save money and just hire us for the heavy lifting, which works fine.

Q: Will you pack the truck so nothing shifts on the highway?

A: Yes, loading it right is the main reason to hire us for this. We stack heavy and square items low and forward, fill gaps so things don't slide, and strap off sections as we go. A well-packed truck protects your furniture on the road. Once you drive away, though, the load is in your hands, since we're not transporting it.

Q: How much does loading help cost?

A: It's billed hourly at $119 for a two-mover crew with a two-hour minimum, dollies and straps included. A standard one-bedroom load often fits the minimum; a larger home or a tough walk-up runs longer. We give you a realistic time estimate before starting and a $89 deposit holds the slot, applied to the final bill.
